Cleansing of skin

Cleanser recipe for dry and sensitive skin: Take ¼ cup of milk, ¼ cup cream and 2 Table spoon fresh chamomile flowers. Put all the ingredients in buttermilk and fennel seeds in a pan and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Take care that you do not allow milk to boil. Mix well and let the mixture cool for two hours. Facial Cleansing

a fine sieve, cool, pour into bottle, and refrigerate. You can use this recipe for 2 weeks. Remember for sensitive skin; always do the patch test before using the recipe.

A word of Caution for Cleansing

You should make sure that you have washed your hands thoroughly and tied back your hair before cleansing your skin. When applying cleanser, use gentle sweeping upwards movements using your fingers to spread it up from the neck over the jaw line and up to the forehead. Upward movement of your fingers will lift the hair that cover the skins surface and ensure the cleanser gets in to clean effectively. Use your first, middle, and ring finger to massage the cleanser into your skin. Special precautions should be taken around the delicate areas such as your eyes and make sure that you are thorough around the areas of oil buildup such as your nose. Follow the flow of the lymph that helps to clear out and prevent any areas of congestion and promotes the flow of blood circulation to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Toning of skin

Toning is next in skincare routine. Toning removes dead cells, excess oil and last traces of cleanser and any dirt or debris remaining on the skin.

Toner recipe for normal skin:

Grind one small peeled cucumber in food processor until it is liquefied, add ½ cup plain unflavored yogurt and mix it well. Gently apply it to your face and after 5-10 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water. Spray cold water at the end.

A word of Caution for Toning

Toning should be avoided in case of extremely dry skin and in case, your skin has the tendency for other serious skin problems. In case of burning sensation, use of astringents should be discontinued. If your skin shows sign of irritation after applying toner or astringent, you should reduce the amount you are using or switch to milder toner or astringent.

Moisturizing of skin

Moisturizing is another key component to maintain healthy and youthful skin. Drinking a sufficient amount of water helps the skin to preserve the necessary moisture balance. Supplement your skin with the benefits of drinking natural juices, mineral water. Moisturizing helps to retain and seal in the skin’s natural moisture.

Moisturizer Recipe for Healthy Glowing Skin:

Mix juice of one lime with ¼ cup of boiled milk and 2 table spoon olive oil and blend them properly. Apply a small amount of moisturizer in upward circular motion. Facial Mask to get soft and silky skin: Mash 1/2 banana to make a smooth paste. Mix one table spoon of honey and 2 table spoon of yogurt and stir.
